The way people think and the reason and purpose of the genocide is an unthinkable form of insanity. I think that the reason history repeats itself is because even though people know about genocide, people also act as others in the past have. The things going through the heads of the leaders of these horrific events are some type of insane reality.
In Night a massive amount of deaths occurred and also in Hotel Rwanda. The Holocaust is one of the first most remembered genocides in history, and it repeated itself with the same form of attack--differences and fear of difference. In Night it was was Germans against other races and in Hotel Rwanda it was Hutu against Tutsi. The way of recruitment for this type of fight is brainwashing and sick. We can implant in ourselves that these events are something that should never happen, and we can try and help others make correct choices. These people that start these movements need to be punished but helped because of the thoughts going through their head. We can fight if these type of things ever do happen again, we should fight for these things never to happen again.

The Holocaust started because of the view that there was a superior race of blond hair and blue eyes white child. The leader of the Nazis which was against other races, was Hitler. This was a genocide of 6 million Jews, gypsies, and anyone that was not blond hair and blued eyes. Hitler convinced the Nazis that the reason he wanted to kill Jews was because he thought they caused poverty. Some other races including Jews escaped, hid, or fought, but most of them died in pursuit of freedom. Most were living in peace and minding their own business and then were took to concentration camps where most died, were tortured, or few escaped. Some people helped Jews, some just ignored the fact of the genocide until it affected them. Many countries were affected and many tried to help get people out of the affected countries.
